here's my go: didn't take very long to do and i'm quite pleased with the result EDIT: thought i'd do a little improved version...am getting slightly obsessive with having borders and i wasn't happy with the lighting effect on the bride so yeah...

How do you make your pictures look so beautiful gems. I'm a big fan of your work. But please, tell me how you make those little snapshots on your picture and how you get that fantastic lighting. My entry is still on it's way - photoshop is giving me problems again.

*blushes* seriously? thanks! the small little pictures can be done in a variety of ways. the way i did in this particular one was to just drag the photo from the original snap shot into the new canvas (click on the black arrow and literally drag it onto the image). next you click on the little 'show transform controls' box then simply resize it to how ever small (or big) you want it. alternatively you could resize the image (image-->image size) and then drag the layer to the new canvas. oh and the lighting, well in the background snapshot it is the soft lighting which Chess gave a tutorial for in the help desk... and in the bride pic on the right, it was an experimental lighting i was trying out. its pretty similar to the effect on that tutorial except i made the layer style's blend mode to soft light instead of overlay if you don't understand how i've worded it (giving instructions is not my thing) then i can print a few screens to show you what i mean and thanks again, means a lot

You've gone from good to great my friend. I too am a lover of borders, it just does something for you snapshots I think. I also like your use of different lighting for the different shots. Two thumbs up and a little dance of joy!!
