Okay so this is just an idea i had and what with NTM soon finishing, i thought I'd see what you guys think of it and whether this is something you would want to enter.
Welcome to Creative Freaks Academy, the school for the not-so-normal-and-frankly-a-little-freaky students. Aliens, elves, faeries, witches...you name it: we'll teach it. The Sim you enter (it must be a teenage female in bodyshop) has to have something about them that sets them apart from humans. That's right, these kids have magical powers. Not that having powers will help them get through school any easier though as each week (or so) a lesson (basically a round) will be set asking your Sim to hand in their homework (their entry in essence). This homework will be marked and given a grade which will appear in their report card. At the end of the contest, the student will the highest grade average will be the star student at Creative Freaks Academy!
Got questions? here's some freshly prepared answers?
Will their be eliminations?
Nope. A lesson will be set roughly every two weeks but you do not have to 'turn up to class'. If you fail to hand in your homework on time you won't be 'expelled' but you will get a big fat F.
How will grades be awarded?
Polls will be set up same as always. The percentage of votes you receive will give you your grade e.g. 50% of the vote will be a C. A full list of the grade boundaries will be decided on if this contest does go ahead.
Will their be any judging?
Why yes, they'll will be. A panel of teachers will be picked and they will comment on each entry. They will be their to guide you and give constructive criticism. They also have a little added job and each round, they will decide on who their teacher's pet is.
What's a teacher's pet?
This is the student who the judges think have improved the most and whose homework they like best. The student who is picked (only one is chosen per lesson) will be chosen before voting and after-wards they will receive the added bonus of moving up a grade (e.g. if in the voting they get a B, then this will increase to an A)
Who will be the teachers?
Three teachers will be in the contest (i will be one but if this contest goes ahead, then i will need two more so that position is open )
If I'm a teacher, can i still enter?
Nope, I'm afraid you can't.
So Aliens can enter, but can humans?
Yes and no. If they are human they still must have some kind of magical power. Maybe they are insanely lucky or possibly can read minds...they might not have an alien skintone but they still must have at least one magical powers.
What will the rounds be like?
These will be lessons same as school (Geography, Maths etc.) but with a slightly/massive twist. Each lesson will be tailored to that subject e.g. the History round might see the students literally go back in time/or the travel to the future and show what they learned from that in an edited photograph. In that sense, it will be styled to be like a modeling contest but the magical element must always come through in the photo.
What do you guys think? Interested? Have more questions? I would love to know whether you guys would be want to get involved with this or not...
