Always wondered how to draw hair? So have I. I know that there are some people who have wondered forever, looking for tutorials left and right, and there are some select few who have passed the secret onto others, not bothering to make a tutorial. But I'm not pointing fingers.
So I would like to share with you how I draw hair in 4 easy steps.
That's right, just 4.
There are two types of hair drawing however.
There is hair drawing, where you draw hair from scratch (see my Flickr picture, Free <3, for example - tutorial for that can come later if you want), and hair extending, which is what this tutorial shows you how to do.
So here it goes!
STEP 1
First select the smudge tool.
Then, select the "brush" size. This determines whether you want super-detailed hair or basic brushed hair. As you can see, I use brush size 13.
STEP 2
See we start to smudge it, but as you can see, we smudge the bakground as well. So, you can smudge the background or you can cut out the sim and put them on a separate background.
STEP 3
Now, I moved my sim onto a separate background. Yippee! I know my cutting-out sucks, but just bear with me.
STEP 4
Now I just brush the hair out! It's that simple. You can adjust brush sizes while your brushing it out, or you can stay the same size. Have fun and roll with it! Only, try not to brush the body, as that will smudge. However, you can just cut out the hair, paste it on top of the head again and smudge that. But that's not what I did in the example.
Well, I hope that helped you! Please tell me what you think (and if you think it was completely pointless)!

P.S. I use PhotoShop 7. Primitive I know, but it works!
