Oooh, pretty.
I am a doofus when it comes to photoshop. How do you do those pretty border thingys?

I basically make a rectangular selection, fill it with a colour, contract the selection by say, 15 pixels, then erase everything within the smaller selection. You end up with a border Then I put the opacity of the layer the border is on to quite low, differs everytime so basically to where I like it. Then I do the same for the black outlines but with a contraction of 1 pixel

Awesome tutorial!
But may I make a suggestion? I tried this, and it looked pretty cool. What I like to do is add a fourth layer. Then go to image> adjustments> equalize. Set it to a low opacity. Sorry if I sounded rude, I only want to help.

If you don't, just make a copy of your layer and delete the background, that works fine too

This is really helpful!Thanks tons=]
Since some people don't have photoshop,do you mind If I post how to do it in psp? You get your pic, duplicate the layer,go to the first layer and do gaussian blur&set to 10,go back to the duplicated layer and set the layer mode as overlay Sry if I was "tresspassing" in your topic, don't mean to
